This weekend was one of those proper wedding weekends that reminds us why we love what we do.
Three completely different celebrations, three stunning venues, and three dancefloors that absolutely delivered.
A Full Day Celebration at Old Gore
We kicked things off at Old Gore Yardspace, which has such a cool atmosphere from the moment you arrive. It’s got that perfect mix of rustic and modern without trying too hard, and it suited the whole day so well. The weather behaved itself, guests spilled out into the courtyard during the drinks reception, and by the evening the place had completely transformed. Once the music got going, the dancefloor stayed packed right through until the final song. The kind of crowd that didn’t need much convincing to sing along.
Our six-piece band brought full wedding-party energy with what might be our best setup yet. The dual vocals kept the dance floor alive all night, bouncing between big singalong moments and smooth harmonies, while the saxophone brought that extra spark that turns a great party into an unforgettable one. From the first dance to the last song of the night, every part of the band clicked — packed dance floor, nonstop crowd energy, and the kind of atmosphere that makes weddings feel electric. This lineup is definitely bigger, tighter, and more fun than ever, what The Afterparty is all about.
An Evening at Bury Court Barn
The next stop was Bury Court Barn, and honestly, this venue never disappoints. The gardens looked incredible and the barn itself always creates such a warm atmosphere once everyone’s inside for the evening.
There was a really relaxed feel to the whole wedding day, but as soon as the party started the energy changed completely. A lot of early 2000s classics made an appearance, a few unexpected singalongs happened, and there may have been some questionable dance moves by the end of the night — exactly how it should be.
One thing that really took the evening up another level at Bury Court Barn was the upgrade the couple chose. They went with our PRO DJ package alongside a live sax player, and the combination worked so well in the space. The upgraded setup completely changes the feel of the room once the evening starts, and adding live sax into the mix always brings that extra energy that gets people properly involved. It turned the party from a great wedding reception into one of those nights guests will still be talking about for ages afterwards.
A Full Day at Tithe Barn
We wrapped up the weekend at The Tithe Barn in Petersfield, which is just an amazing setting for a wedding. The barn has so much character on its own that it barely needs anything added to it. The couple had created such a personal day from start to finish, and the evening felt like one big celebration with all their favourite people.
They also added our PRO DJ package onto their booking, and honestly, it’s one of those upgrades that makes such a difference to the overall evening. The enhanced lighting and upgraded production completely transformed the barn once the party got started and gave the whole night that big-event atmosphere. It’s quickly becoming one of those must-have additions for couples who really want the evening party to feel special. The dancefloor was full from the first dance onwards, with everything from indie anthems to old-school party tracks getting a reaction.
This recent wedding at Tithe Barn was such a great example of how different styles of entertainment can come together to create an unforgettable day. We were lucky enough to work alongside the incredible Dhol Collective for a fusion wedding celebration that kept the energy building all night long. We opened with one of our live band sets, getting the dance floor packed and the party started, before handing over to the Dhol Collective who completely took the atmosphere to another level with their epic drum set.
They were absolutely brilliant — so talented, full of energy, and brought such a unique experience that guests were talking about all night. We then came back for another live set later in the evening, which made the whole night feel dynamic, exciting, and perfectly paced.
It really showed how flexible wedding entertainment can be when it’s planned around the couple and the atmosphere they want to create. Whether it’s live bands, DJ afterparties, dhol performances, saxophone sets, or mixing different entertainment styles throughout the evening, we love creating bespoke packages that flow naturally and keep the celebration feeling fresh from start to finish.
