August Is in Full Swing: A Huge Week of Weddings & Events for The AfterParty

August is officially in full swing — and it’s our busiest month of the year!
There’s nothing quite like an August wedding season at The AfterParty. Our teams are out across the country every week, providing everything from relaxed acoustic music during the day to full-scale party bands and professional DJs keeping dancefloors packed late into the night.
Last week was another brilliant example, with multiple events across the Cotswolds, Cornwall and Monmouthshire— and a whole lot of music in between!
Tuesday – Hyde House, The Cotswolds
We kicked off the week at Hyde House in the Cotswolds with a full day of music.
Our team provided acoustic music during the daytime, creating the perfect atmosphere as guests arrived and celebrations got underway, before switching things up in the evening with our full party band.
The evening package was upgraded to include our PRO DJ, taking the party seamlessly from live music into a full DJ set once the band finished.
This is one of our favourite ways to structure a wedding day because there’s no awkward gap between the entertainment. The live band gets the dancefloor going, and the DJ takes over to keep the energy high for the rest of the night.
Thursday – Brinsop Court Manor
Thursday saw another full day of music, this time at Brinsop Court Manor.
We provided acoustic music during the daytime before bringing out the full party band for the evening celebrations.
There’s something special about providing music throughout an entire wedding day. The style can change with the atmosphere — relaxed and understated during the day, building into a full-on party once the evening celebrations begin.
It means couples can have one entertainment team covering multiple parts of their wedding, rather than having to coordinate several different suppliers.
Saturday – Two Events, Two Very Different Parties!
Saturday was another busy one, with two teams out performing at two completely different events.
Camel Studios, Bodmin
Our first team headed down to Camel Studios in Bodmin for an acoustic DJ DUO.
The daytime started with an upbeat acoustic set, followed by music throughout the cocktail hour — the perfect combination of live music and atmosphere without overpowering conversation.
Then, when it was time to party, our PRO DJ took over for the evening and kept the music going right through until the finish.
What Is Our PRO DJ package?

Humble By Nature, Monmouth
Meanwhile, another of our bands was at Humble By Nature in Monmouth for an evening party.
Our full party band brought the energy for the evening, getting guests on the dancefloor and doing exactly what we love doing most — creating a proper party!
